MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia baseball standout Armani Guzman announced that he is returning for his senior season on Sunday afternoon.

The speedy outfielder/first baseman was one of the country’s top base stealers, finishing fifth in the nation with 42 stolen bases in 46 attempts. His most memorable stolen base came in the College World Series when he swiped home, becoming the first player to successfully record a straight steal of home since 2000.
Guzman started all 64 games and batted .321 with one home run and 45 RBIs. He led the team with 22 doubles and was second with 66 runs scored.
He was named to the Morgantown Regional All-Tournament Team and the Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team.
Guzman returns to a Mountaineer team looking to build on last season’s historic College World Series appearance.
