West Virginia women’s basketball has secured a commitment from Kennedy Harris.
Harris, 5-foot-7, is transferring from George Mason and announced her commitment on social media.
Harris, from Hampton, Virginia, enjoyed a strong 2025-26 season with the Patriots in the Atlantic 10 Conference. She started all 33 games, averaging 14.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and a team-leading 2.2 steals per game while logging 33.2 minutes per contest.
Harris earned 2026 A-10 All-Conference First Team and A-10 All-Academic Team honors for her performance. She also showed playmaking ability with multiple games of five assists and defensive disruption with a season-high six steals in one outing. Over her three seasons at George Mason, she has developed into a reliable scoring threat capable of creating her own shot and pressuring opponents on defense.
This move marks a reunion for Harris with former George Mason teammate Zahirah “ZaZa” Walton, who committed to WVU earlier in April.
