Kelvin Odih, a former WVU basketball signee, flipped to St. John’s, announcing his decision on social media on Wednesday.
Odih (6-foot-5, 190 pounds) is a four-star recruit from SoCal Academy in Caustic, California. He is the ninth-best player in California, the No. 13 small forward, and the No. 75 player nationally according to 247Sports. He also played for La Salle Academy (RI) and South Kent Prep School (CT).

Odih is a high-energy wing prospect who plays with an elite motor and intensity on both ends. Has a much improved outside game and is a force attacking the basket.

Odih was originally recruited by former WVU head coach, Darian DeVries, but asked out of his letter of intent following the coaches departure for Indiana.
Odih’s SoCal Academy teammate, Trent McClean, also flipped his commitment from West Virginia to St. Johns. Former in-state signee, Braydon Hawthorne, is still uncommitted and recently visited arch-rival Pitt. He seemingly has left the door open to attending WVU.
DJ Thomas, a 6-foot-7 guard from Allen, Texas, is the only high school recruit in the 2025 recruiting class so far for Ross Hodge. Thomas had originally committed to North Texas before deciding to follow new coach Ross Hodge to WVU,
