A change of plans happened last minute for the West Virginia Mountaineers on the mound ahead of Tuesday’s matchup. Originally, David Hagen was supposed to get the nod, but Bryson Thacker will now get the start instead.
Thacker, who has appeared in 12 games this year, will be making his first start for WVU on Tuesday versus Pitt.
Thacker this year has worked 8.2 innings with 13 strikeouts and nine walks with a total of six runs allowed on five hits.
His longest outing came against Georgia Southern where he worked 1.2 innings striking out two and allowing a run to score on no hits allowed.
