MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia outfielder Brock Wills announced his intent to enter the transfer portal when it opens on Monday, August 3.
Wills was one of many NCAA athletes that were granted an extra year of eligibility on Friday, when a federal court issued a class-wide preliminary injunction requiring the NCAA to grant a fifth year of eligibility to high school Class of 2022 athletes.
Last season with the Mountaineers, Wills batted .283 with two home runs and 23 RBIs. The Holly Springs, North Carolina native spent much of the season in the starting lineup before Ben Lumsden replaced him in the postseason.
