Morgantown, WV – It has been nearly two decades since quarterback Pat White last played for the Old Gold and Blue. A career that spanned from 2004 to 2008, White left the WVU Football program as arguably the most decorated signal caller in school history. After years of waiting and speculation, the Alabama native finally received the news that has been expected for years.
According to a press release from the WVU Football team, Pat White’s number 5 jersey will be retired this fall during a home game at Milan Puskar Stadium. The exact game will be announced at a later time.
During his time in Morgantown, White set 19 school and NCAA records – some of which still stand to this day. Amassing a record of 35-8 as a starter, the WVU Football program was taken to new heights under his guidance as their signal-caller. White currently serves as an assistant quarterbacks coach on Rodriguez’s staff.
Fans all across the Mountain State will all agree on one thing – this was long overdue!
