Former WVU basketball standout Miles “Deuce” McBride had the best night of his professional career on Sunday. He picked a great time to do it too. The former Mountaineer led the New York Knicks in their game four win over the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference semifinals. New York won the series four games to zero and took the final game in Philly by a score of 144-114. The Knicks will now move on to the conference finals. They will face the winner of the series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Detroit Pistons. Detroit currently leads the series two games to one. Game four of that series will take place Monday night in Cleveland.
Game 4 Performance & 2025-26 Season
McBride poured in 25 points, including a scorching 7 of 9 shooting performance from 3-point range. The 6-foot-2 guard also added four rebounds and a steal in 29 minutes of playing time. The Knicks had six players score in double figures, with McBride leading the way.

On the season, McBride is averaging 12 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He is shooting 42% from the floor overall and 41.3% from 3-point range.
Career at West Virginia
The Cincinnati, Ohio native played under Bob Huggins in Morgantown. He averaged just over 12 points per game during his two year career. He also averaged 3.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
The former high school quarterback made a huge jump from year one to year two at WVU. During his sophomore year in 2020-21, McBride averaged 15.9 points, 4.8 assists and 1.9 steals per contest. Up from 9.5 points, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game his freshman year.
What’s Next
Now McBride and his Knick teammates will sit and watch to see who they will face for a spot in the NBA Finals.
