Jordan Harrison made her WNBA debut for the Portland Fire against the Seattle Storm at Climate Pledge Arena on Wednesday night.
The Fire fell 91-81, but Harrison delivered a promising first impression in 21 minutes of action, showcasing the hustle, playmaking, and defensive instincts that made her a standout at West Virginia.
Harrison finished with 5 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block while committing no turnovers. She went 2-of-8 from the field (25%), 0-of-3 from three-point range, and a perfect 1-of-1 from the free-throw line.
The 5’6″ guard from Oklahoma City, had a stellar senior season at WVU. She averaged 13.1 points, 5.2 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.2 steals per game, earning Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors and leading the Mountaineers with her tenacity.
After going undrafted, she signed a rookie-scale contract with the Fire in mid-April.
