West Virginia baseball continues to aquire talent from the transfer portal, securing a commitment from Southern Illinois catcher John Lemm.
Known as a power-hitting catcher, Lemm batted .272 last season with 19 homeruns and 56 RBIs last season. He hit 11 doubles and recorded more walks (45) than strikeouts (36).
Lemm, 6-foot-3, 220-pounds, is a likely replacement for current Mountaineer catcher Logan Sauve, who is a likely departure to the MLB Draft.
Lemm is a native of Australia and has one season of eligibility remaining.
