Pete Nakos of On3 reported earlier in the week that Florida State infield transfer Noah Sheffield would be visiting with the Mountaineers.
Sheffield told WV Sports Chat that no scheduled visit has yet to happen, but he would be taking one as soon as it was set up.
Sheffield spent two season with the Seminoles prior to entering the portal.
Sheffield, who will have two years of eligibility remaining, ended the year hitting .250 with four home runs, nine doubles, 29 RBI, and 26 runs scored.
He is listed as an infielder but as FSU Wire notes he can play multiple other positions and is versatile which is something that West Virginia is looking for out of the portal.
