WVU Closes Non Conference Schedule with Marshall

The No. 15 ranked West Virginia Mountaineers close its non conference schedule with Marshall on Tuesday afternoon.

After this series the Mountaineers will travel to Lawrence to take on the streaking hot No. 7 ranked Kansas Jayhawks followed by TCU before playing in the Big 12 tournament in a few weeks.

West Virginia has taken the first two games against Marshall this season. The first being a 3-0 victory followed by a 12-2 drumming of the Herd a couple weeks ago.

Sophomore David Hagen will make the start against Marshall.

Hagen holds a 3-1 record with a 4.74 ERA this season with 16 strikeouts and 16 walks over 19 innings pitched for the Mountaineers.

Hagen is averaging three innings of work on the midweeks this year.
