Morgantown, WV – Earlier today, Rich Rodriguez held his second press conference of the 2026 spring practice session for WVU Football. Rodriguez addressed many areas regarding the team in his 18-minute conversation with the media. To close the presser, the Grant Town native was asked about late additions to the 2026 signing class, particularly Princeton’s Brad Mossor.
Mossor is coming off of a stellar 2025 campaign in which he helped lead the Princeton Tigers to the 2025 AAA West Virginia State Championship. Tallying 1,510 receiving yards and 14 receiving touchdowns, as well as 939 rushing yards and 28 rushing touchdowns, Mossor’s contributions did not go unrecognized as he secured both the Randy Moss Award and Kennedy Award.
After receiving an offer from WVU in mid-January, Mossor committed immediately. He is currently expected to enroll this summer.
Here is what Rodriguez had to say about Mossor’s potential in Morgantown:
“You wanna talk about a guy that had production, I mean, he had it…”
“He’s a winner and he’s really, really competitive. You watch him play and every play, everything he was doing, he was trying to be the best on the field. You know, I know we kind of got in it late. I think it’s going to be a great opportunity for him. I just think he has something special…He’s got a desire to play at this level and play for his home state team.”
“I didn’t sign him because he’s a West Virginia guy. Even though that helps because we knew who he was. We signed him because we think he can have a great career here.”
Rodriguez has been a coach at the FBS level for nearly three decades. During that span, he has seen incredible talents pass through his programs. For him to speak highly of a player before they even step foot on campus is quite the feat for Mossor.
Should Rodriguez’s vision for Mossor come to fruition, he will quickly become a fan favorite in Morgantown.
