A bombshell dropped in a West Virginia courtroom today, casting uncertainty over a top transfers future.
During a high-stakes court case to determine the eligibility of four WVU players, including standout transfer Jimmori Robinson, it was revealed that Robinson is academically ineligible to compete.
Robinson, a highly touted edge rusher who transferred from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in January 2025, arrived at WVU with one year of eligibility remaining. His addition was seen as a critical boost to the Mountaineers’ defensive line.
However, that optimism was shattered today when the NCAA attorney asserted that Robinson failed to complete six required credit hours at UTSA, rendering him academically ineligible under NCAA Division I standards.
Over 43 games with the Roadrunners, he amassed an impressive 15 sacks and 30 tackles for loss, including a career-high 10.5 sacks in the 2024 season.
This claim suggests that his college football career is likely over—regardless of the court’s decision on the pending injunction.
