West Virginia baseball has received a commitment from right-handed pitcher Dawson Montesa.
Montesa, 6-foot-1, 185-pounds, is a transfer from DII Adelphi University, where he was named a DII All-American last season.
Last season as a sophomore, Montesa posted an impressive 1.99 ERA over 72.1 innings while striking out 105 batters. He had five outings where he struck out over 10 batters. On the season he went 8-1 in 12 games.
Montesa will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
