MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia Mouhamed Sylla has been cleared to resume all basketball activities after recovering from an ankle injury, according to Jon Rothstein.

Transfer from Georgia Tech who averaged 9.6 PPG and 7.2 RPG last season in 16 games prior to injury.
The 6-foot-10, 240-pound center from Louga, Senegal appeared in 16 games last season, including 15 starts for the Yellow Jackets. He missed 15 of the team’s final 17 games.
Sylla averaged 9.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per contest while he shot 57.9% from the field and posted five double-doubles.
The sophomore was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2025 and was ranked as the No. 26 player in the 247Sports transfer portal rankings.
Sylla’s defensive presence, rim protection and rebounding ability give the Mountaineers a versatile frontcourt option on both ends of the floor.
