WVU Football Lands MASSIVE Four-Star 2027 Commitment

Morgantown, WV – Things are beginning to ramp up for WVU Football’s 2027 recruiting class. After flipping Penn State commit Zachary Gleason earlier, Rich Rodriguez and the Mountaineers secured yet another massive defensive talent this afternoon.

According to Hayes Fawcett of Rivals, Chris Wilson, a 247Sports four-star edge out of Yorktown, Indiana, has committed to West Virginia University.

Wilson currently holds several offers from several Power Four programs around the nation. Among the schools to offer him include Indiana, Auburn, Missouri, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M. He has also garnered interest from other programs in the Big 12 – Kansas, Iowa State, and Cincinnati.

Standing at 6’5” and weighing 235 pounds, Wilson has the physique to be a significant contributor in Zac Alley’s defense.

With his commitment, WVU’s 2027 class now ranks 29th in the nation, according to 247Sports.
