West Virginia junior forward Carter McCray plans to enter the NCAA women’s basketball transfer portal.
The news was first reported by Talia Goodman of On3.
The 6-1 forward from Oberlin, Ohio, appeared in a key role for the Mountaineers during the 2025-26 season, averaging 6.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game while shooting an efficient 59.5% from the field.
She started 26 games and played in 34 total contests for a West Virginia team that reached the NCAA Tournament and won the Big 12 Tournament championship.

The 6-1 junior averaged 6.5 ppg and 5.3 rpg this season.
