The West Virginia Mountaineers and Georgia Southern Eagles have announced their probable starters for this weekend’s opening series.
Friday:
RHP Chansen Cole (7-5, 3.39 ERA, 97 K, 21 BB, 87.2 IP) vs. LHP Carter DeGondea (4-1, 3.91 ERA, 34 K, 21 BB, 50.2 IP)
Saturday:
LHP Maxx Yehl (DNP in 2025) vs. LHP Thomas Burke (0-1, 5.46 ERA, 25 K, 24 BB, 28.0 IP)
Sunday:
RHP Dawson Montesa (8-1, 1.99 ERA, 105 K, 24 BB, 72.1 IP) vs. LHP Chase Davis (1-3, 7.40 ERA, 13 K, 13 BB, 20.2 IP)
Both Cole and Montesa were rated as two highly-touted transfers out of the portal this offseason.
All three games will be streamed on ESPN+. Below are the first pitch times. (Those times could change depending on weather, etc.)
