Morgantown, WV – Jaylen Henderson’s time with the Mountaineers is officially over. After entering the NCAA Transfer Portal earlier this month, the California native has found his destination for his final year of eligibility. In a post on X, Henderson announced his commitment to the Liberty Flames on Tuesday evening.
Henderson, who spent the 2025 season with WVU football after transferring from Texas A&M, saw limited playing time for the Mountaineers. Making five appearances and one start, he connected on 38.9% of his passes for 50 yards and no touchdowns nor interceptions. Most of Henderson’s impact was seen on the ground where he accumulated 146 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
He began the 2025 season as the 2nd string quarterback behind Nicco Marchiol.
