WVU Welcoming Two More Group of 5 Transfers on Visits

Morgantown, WV – It has been a busy day in the transfer portal for programs around the nation. Rich Rodriguez and his staff have scheduled several official visits for prospects that officially entered their name in the portal today. There are now two more Group of 5 names that can be added to that list.

According to Brandon Huffman of 247Sports, UNLV linebacker Isaiah Patterson will be in Morgantown this weekend checking out the facilities and speaking with the coaching staff. Patterson, who will have 3 seasons of eligibility remaining, compiled 46 tackles and 0.5 sacks during the 2025 season with the Rebels. The Washington native transferred to UNLV from UCLA following the 2024 season.

Another offensive prospect will also be on campus. Per Pete Nakos of On3, Troy receiver D.J. Epps is in the process of scheduling a visit to West Virginia University. Used on both offense and special teams, Epps tallied 512 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns, as well as 554 kickoff returns yards on 24 attempts. He will also visit Cincinnati.
