Morgantown, WV – Earlier this morning, WVU redshirt junior Xavier Bausley announced his intentions to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal via X. A native of Dunbar, West Virginia, Bausley was used primarily as depth at the offensive tackle position.
After beginning his career with the Jacksonville State Gamecocks and Coach Rich Rodriguez, Bausley transferred to WVU to play under Neal Brown in 2024. He was reunited with Rodriguez in Morgantown following Brown’s firing in December 2024.
Despite starting 11 games for the Gamecocks, and garnering Freshmen All-American and All-Conference honors, Bausley was only able to net 13 appearances for the Mountaineers in 2 years.
He will have one season of eligibility remaining.
