WVU Football Opens as Betting Favorite Against Colorado

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – After defeating the number 22 ranked Houston Cougars on the road, DraftKings has the West Virginia Mountaineers opening as a 5.5 point favorite over the Colorado Buffaloes this Saturday.

This will be the first time since game two of the season that the Mountaineers have been favored in any game. WVU football dropped five straight Big 12 Conference games, with four of them happening in blowout fashion. The final loss of that streak was a six point loss to TCU at home on October 25. WVU showed major signs of improvement in that defeat before winning at Houston 45-35 on Saturday.

Also contributing to the opening spread is the fact Colorado is struggling. The Buffaloes were blown out by Arizona 52-17 on Saturday and have dropped four of their last five games.

Both teams come into the contest with 3-6 records and 1-5 in league play. However, Colorado appears to be slipping, while WVU may be finding their footing late in the season.

All betting lines are subject to change.
