WVU Football Releases Depth Chart for Robert Morris

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – In the lead-up to the game against Robert Morris, the West Virginia Mountaineer football team has released their first official depth chart. It can be seen below.

To no one’s surprise, Rich Rodriguez did not announce a starting quarterback, but instead listed an “Or” after each one. This indicates that any of the top five guys could start the game. Another position that doesn’t have a clear top guy is slot, or Y receiver. Rodney Gallagher, Oran “Man Man” Singleton, and Jarrod Bowie are all listed as potential starters at that spot.

What was surprising was that several positions do seem to have firm starters in place, at least for game one. The offensive line, for example, seems to have found it’s top five guys in Nick Krahe, Walter Young Bear, Landen Livingsten, Kimo Makane’ole and Ty’Kieast Crawford.

The same can be said for the defensive front. The top guys there appear to be Eddie Kelly Jr., Hammond Russell and Eddie Vesterinen.

There are not a ton of surprises with the initial depth chart of the 2025 season, and outside of quarterback, most of the position battles appear to be between guys fighting to be in the two-deep and not necessarily starting roles.
