West Virginia has positioned itself as a serious contender for one of the nation’s top prospects in the 2026 class.
Four-star center Aliou Dioum, a 6-foot-10 rising senior from Bella Vista Prep in Arizona, recently narrowed his list of potential schools to six, and the Mountaineers are among the elite group.
West Virginia comes in alongside Wake Forest, Illinois, Mississippi State, UNLV, and Syracuse. The news was first reported by Rivals/On3 National Basketball Reporter Joe Tipton.
Dioum, who is originally from Senegal, received an offer from the Mountaineers in late July and is scheduled to take an official visit to Morgantown on August 30.
