WVU Hoops Offers 5-Star Guard Tyrone Jamison

West Virginia men’s basketball coach Ross Hodge is still piecing together the final components of the 2025-26 roster while simultaneously maintaining a focus on the future.

The latest evidence came when the Mountaineers recently extended a scholarship offer to class of 2027 point guard Tyrone Jamison.

Jamison, 6-foot-2, 160-pounds, from Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist Academy is rated a 5-star prospect by 247Sports.com with a player composite rating of 0.9944. He is also rated the No. 15 overall prospect in the class of 2027 and the No. 1 ranked player overall in the state of Louisiana.

This past season as a sophomore, Jamison averaged 15.3 points per game along with 6.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He shot an impressive 45% from the field and 36% from three.

He currently holds several offers from major programs including Arkansas, Louisville, Maryland, Mississippi State, and LSU.
