Tucker DeLisle was once again shining bright in his Appalachian League appearance for Tri-State on Wednesday night.
DeLisle, who is making a strong push to be in the rotation next season for WVU, is impressing his collegiate coaches this summer.
On Wednesday, DeLisle worked 3.2 innings for the Coal Cats striking out six and did not allow a run to score on three hits allowed.
This season in Appalachian League, DeLisle has been tabbed as one of the best pitchers. That data is driven by spin ratio plus K/BB ratio and is evaluated over 98 pitchers. As of Wednesday, DeLisle was ranked inside the Top 15.
Prior to his outing on Wednesday, DeLisle’s best pitching performance came against Greeneville on June 15 where he worked three innings and struck out five along the way in the clubs 7-1 loss.
DeLisle has reached 93.4 on the radar gun this season in the Appalachian League and has a pitch arsenal that combined a fastball with a slider, curve and changeup.
