The Memphis Grizzlies kicked off their 2025 Summer League campaign with a commanding 92-80 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Salt Lake City.
Former West Virginia guard Javon Small had a solid debut for the Grizzlies, dishing out a team-leading six assists while scoring four points in 19 minutes of action.
Small was selected by the Grizzles in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft with the 48th overall pick.
Small’s summer league debut success comes as no surprise to those who followed his final collegiate season at West Virginia. During the 2024-25 season, Small helped guide the Mountaineers to 19 wins, earning a reputation as a dynamic guard with a knack for both scoring and defense.
