Fresh off his official visit to West Virginia, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M linebacker Aaron Edwards has committed to the Mountaineers.
Edwards, 6-foot-3, 200-pounds, received his offer from West Virginia just days before his visit.
“The visit went great,” Edwards told WVSportsChat.com. “
After a great visit Iam blessed to say Iam committed to @WVUfootball Thank You @CoachAWarwick @CoachWeinreich @CoachZAlley for believing me and giving me this opportunity‼️ pic.twitter.com/k0M9ZbYlSC

After a recent conversation with senior defensive analyst Andrew Warwick, Edwards was able to cement his relationship with the staff while in Morgantown.
“The coaches are great and they treat you like family. The coaches put their players in the best position to succeed.”
Edwards, a versatile defender from Oklahoma City, has been on WVU’s radar for some time. With the ability to play multiple positions, he gives the Mountaineers options on the defensive side of the ball.
“They see me playing a lot of positions and I feel like I’ll make a lot of plays in the defense.”
This past season at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Edwards recorded 63 tackles and three forced fumbles.
Edwards is scheduled to graduate in December and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
