West Virginia is still on the hunt for talent to fill out its roster and compete against some of the Big 12’s best.
Former Iowa Central Community College running back Cyncir Bowers committed to the Mountaineers last Friday, according to his X account.
West Virginia adds another explosive running back they have been searching for, who will help the winner of the starting quarterback competition.
Bowers had 1008 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns in 12 games last season for the Tritons, allowing West Virginia to run the ball effectively and keep opponents guessing in the pass game.
They will look to replicate their running success from 2023, when the Mountaineers had 228.9 rushing yards per game and 32 rushing touchdowns.
Rich Rodriguez seems to have found the last piece of his running back puzzle.
