Morgantown, WV – Rich Rodriguez and the WVU Football program are off to a hot start on the 2027 recruiting trail. Yesterday, the program added another talented offensive weapon, beating out several SEC programs.
In a post on X, Alabama wide receiver Carter Davis officially announced his commitment to West Virginia University on Monday evening.

Davis, a 247Sports three-star prospect, garnered many offers from Power Four programs. Among the teams to offer him include Mississippi State, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, and Miami.
With his pledge, the Mountaineers currently hold the 31st-ranked recruiting class in the nation for 2027, per 247Sports.
