The West Virginia Mountaineers baseball program is now hosting a Super Regional against Cal Poly with a chance at Omaha.
Until then, fully expect Steve Sabins and his staff to unload in the transfer portal.
On Wednesday, June 3, WV Sports Chat learned that NE10 Rookie of the Year pitcher Zak Whitney has committed to the Mountaineers.
In 81 innings pitched this past season he struck out 95 batters while allowing just 30 walks. He did give up 85 hits but only allowed 41 runs. He threw 1,208 pitches for Southern New Hampshire University and went 7-2 with a 3.89 ERA.
