WVU Men’s Basketball Receives Top 10 Ranking at 247 Sports

The good news just keeps rolling in for the WVU Men’s Basketball program. Today, 247 Sports updated their recruiting rankings for the 2026 high school class. Ross Hodge’s WVU Mountaineer squad moved up significantly.

West Virginia’s high school recruiting class landed at number 13 in the country and number three in the Big 12 Conference. That’s a jump from 24th and 4th respectively.

Individually, Amadou Seini finally received his ranking and it was a good one. The 7-foot-1 center received a four-star rating from 247. He’s rated as the number 75 overall player in the 2026 class. The Bella Vista Prep product is listed as the number 10 center in the class.

Point guard Miles Sadler remained a four-star at 247 Sports, but his rating jumped from a 95 to a 97 and he went from the number 32 player in the class to number 20.

Center Aliou Dioum and guard Keonte Greybear both received three-star ratings of 88. Respectively, they are the number 199 and 206 players in the country.

WVU’s 2026 transfer class comes in at number 16 nationally and number two in the Big 12, behind only Houston. This is a slight dip from where they were previously. Prior to the update, WVU had the top transfer class in the Big 12 and the number 14 class overall.

Despite the slight drop in ranking for WVU’s transfer portal class, the overall class comes in at number 10 in the country. That’s a win for Hodge and his staff. It’s also something Mountaineer fans can be excited about. West Virginia’s future definitely looks bright on the hardwood.
