The No. 15 West Virginia Mountaineers claimed the series win over the bottom feeders Houston Cougars on Sunday afternoon.
Most of it was powered by an impressive outing from Chansen Cole, who is now two strikeouts away from reaching 50 on the year.
Cole worked five scoreless and hitless innings while striking out five in the Mountaineers 7-3 victory.
Matthew Graveline and Brodie Kresser both hit home runs on Sunday.
Graveline hit a solo shot, his fifth of the year which is tied for the team best with Sean Smith and Gavin Kelly.
