Chansen Cole Has Impressive Outing Versus Houston

Chansen Cole once again had a stellar outing for the No. 15 ranked West Virginia Mountaineers that helped clinch the series win against the Houston Cougars on Sunday evening.

Cole, who transferred to WVU this offseason, worked five innings of shutout baseball and saw himself record five strikeouts to earn his sixth win of the season.

He also did not allow a hit through those five innings of work.

He is now two strikeouts away from recording 50 on the year.

Now on the season Cole is 6-1 with an impressive 2.82 ERA over 51 complete innings of work. He has 48 strikeouts with 23 walks while allowing only 20 runs scored over 37 hits this season.
