Morgantown, WV – Now that the 2025-26 men’s college basketball season has concluded, the NCAA Transfer Portal is open for players. As expected, there has been a lot of movement thus far. WVU basketball, who is expected to be an active participant the next few week, lost two more promising young players to the portal.
According to Joe Tipton of On3, freshman guard Jayden Forsythe plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. The New York native was used sparingly this season, averaging 1.2 points over 5 appearances.

Additionally, Sam Kayser of League Ready has reported that freshman forward D.J. Thomas is also expected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. Considered a major focal point of WVU’s rebuild moving forward, Thomas averaged 6.6 points and 2.1 rebounds across 35 appearances this season.
