LAS VEGAS- Honor Huff etched his name in West Virginia history Sunday, breaking Frank Young’s single-season 3-point record in the second half of the College Basketball Crown championship against Oklahoma.

The senior guard broke the record with 3:49 left in the game when he hit a 3-pointer, breaking the tie. Huff got off to a fast start, making three consecutive shots from beyond the arc to tie the record at the 10:35 mark of the first half.

In 2007, Young drained 117 3-pointers while shooting better than 43 percent from long-range.

Despite spending just one season with the Mountaineers, Huff cemented himself as one of the best 3-point shooters in school history.
