Miles Sadler, the future point guard for the Mountaineers, will be a name WVU basketball fans remember for a long time; and not just because he’s a 5-star recruit. Even as an undersized guard at the high major level, Sadler is going be a problem on both ends of the court.
Some names I’ve seen him compared to are Jamal Shead (the former Houston guard) for being able to set the tempo on both ends of the court and Marcus Smart for his lock down on ball defense.
If I had to compare him to a former WVU player, I’d likely compare him to Juwan Staten m, but with a slightly higher ceiling. Both have great ball-handling skills to attack the paint and create separation. They both have great vision and also play lock down perimeter defense (on top of being undersized). What gives Sadler the edge, in my opinion, is his ability to score at all three levels.
