West Virginia junior right-handed pitcher Chase Meyer has been honored as a First-Team Preseason All-American by Over-Slot Baseball.

During his sophomore season in 2025, Meyer posted a dominant 9-2 record with a 3.94 ERA. Over 48 innings pitched, he struck out 63 batters while securing one save, demonstrating his ability to shut down opponents in high-pressure situations.

His career stats are equally compelling, boasting 91 strikeouts across 67.1 innings, showcasing a strikeout rate that rivals the best in college baseball.

Meyer’s honor marks him as the 12th Mountaineer to receive preseason All-American status from a major publication. Remarkably, this is the third consecutive year a WVU player has earned such a distinction, and the fifth time in the last six seasons.
