Morgantown, WV – Earlier this month, WVU receiver Rodney Gallagher announced his intentions to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. After a stint in Morgantown where the Pennsylvania native showed dedication and class, fans flooded his social media with love and gratitude. While there will still be a mutual respect, Gallagher will now be an opponent for the Mountaineers in 2026.

In a post on X, Gallagher announced his commitment to Arizona. The Wildcats, who are a Big 12 member, will visit Morgantown next season on an undisclosed date. With the matchup already carrying weight due to the Rich Rodriguez connection, there will now be even more intrigue given Gallagher’s decision to.

Gallagher finished his Mountaineer career with 64 receptions for 605 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also added 45 rushing attempts for 221 yards.
