UCONN’s Cassidy Commits to WVU Football

Morgantown, WV – Rich Rodriguez’s Mountaineers are quickly climbing the 2026 transfer portal rankings. In what was already an impressive day for the program, now ends with more offensive line help signing on.

According to Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer of 247Sports, former Connecticut offensive tackle Carsten Cassidy has committed to West Virginia University.

Cassidy, who stands at 6’7” and weighs 300 pounds, made 12 appearances for the Huskies in 2025. To this point in his career, he has not allowed a sack. According to the 247Sports Transfer Portal Rankings, Cassidy is a 3-star prospect.

He has two years of eligibility remaining.
