Morgantown, WV – Moments ago, Rich Rodriguez and the Mountaineers landed what is arguably the most talent piece to their 2026 transfer class. According to Matt Zenitz, Mike Casazza, and Chris Hummer of 247Sports, former LSU receiver TaRon Francis has committed to West Virginia University.

Francis, a Louisiana native, was a high school teammate of 2026 WVU signee John Johnson. After appearing in only five games and registering no catches for the Tigers, Francis officially entered the transfer portal on Tuesday. He is a former 247Sports 4-star athlete, garnering offers from major programs such as Michigan, Florida State, and Texas A&M.

Francis will have four years of eligibility remaining.
