DENTON, Tx. – What was expected has officially become reality today as former WVU football star Jahiem White will indeed follow Neal Brown and Chad Scott to the University of North Texas, as first reported by 247sports. White spent three years in Morgantown, the first two under Neal Brown’s coaching.
The junior suffered a season-ending knee injury in just the second game of the season this year, and gave hints to Mountaineer fans of his return, but entered his name into the portal back on December 8th. White’s return to Brown’s system is not much of a surprise, as he will more than likely be the clear-cut RB1 entering next season.
White had plenty of memorable moments at West Virginia, from his game-winning 29-yard touchdown reception against Baylor in 2023 to his 279 all-purpose yards the week prior against Cincinnati. He finishes his time in Morgantown ranked 27th in rushing yards at 1,819.
He will have two years of eligibility left following his medical redshirt from this season.
North Texas has signed former West Virginia star running back Jahiem White, @chris_hummer and I have learned.
