West Virginia redshirt freshman quarterback Khalil Wilkins has announced his intention to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
Wilkins, a promising dual-threat signal-caller, will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
His breakthrough—or at least his most notable action—came midway through the 2025 season. Thrust into the starting role on a short week against a ranked BYU squad on the road, Wilkins battled valiantly despite the Mountaineers’ eventual defeat. Though his passing line (7-of-15 for 81 yards and two interceptions) left room for improvement, Wilkins’ mobility was put on full display.
On the season, Wilkins threw for 185 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He did, however, rush for 243 yards and two scores.
I will be entering my name in the Transfer Portal with 3 years of eligibility. My film from this past year is a slide over… AGTG🙏🏾 pic.twitter.com/RRXnZVSEF0
