West Virginia Pushing Hard for Michigan State Four-Star Wide Receiver Samson Gash

By: James Gravley | WV Sports Chat

West Virginia has landed a total of 49 players in this recruiting cycle and could be on their way landing another four-star who is currently committed to Michigan State.

As of now, West Virginia has the 20th best 2026 recruiting class.

According to Rivals, West Virginia and Rich Rodriguez are making a strong push forward to land four-star receiver Samson Gash.

Gash has publicly stated he won’t sign until February.

All of this comes from Michigan State firing its head coach and hiring a new head coach to take over the helm. With that, Gash stated he would remain committed to the Spartans, but would be opening up his commitment as well.

Gash has been committed to Michigan State since June 24, 2025.

He holds offers from Alabama, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland and several other programs.
