MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – After a hard late push, WVU football was able to flip running back Amari Latimer from Wisconsin. The four-star had been committed to the Badgers since June, but Rich Rodriguez and the Mountaineers were able to get him to flip on signing day.

The 5-foot-11 back is a very physical runner with a college-ready 230-pound frame.

A native of Tyrone, Georgia, Latimer is a multi-sport athlete at Sandy Creek High School.

He’s rated as the number 19 running back in the class and is the 35th rated player in the state of Georgia per the 247 Sports Composite.

In addition to WVU and Wisconsin, he also had offers from Ohio State, Tennessee, Arkansas, Arizona, Cal, and many others.
