Blue Jays Sign UDFA Sam White

The Toronto Blue Jays have signed former Mountaineer Sam White to an undrafted free agent contract.

White, who was a junior this past season, also had the option of returning to college for one more season, but opted to sing an UDFA deal with the Blue Jays.

White was a career .310 hitter with 19 home runs and 111 RBIs and was in my projection to be the starting third baseman next season for WVU.

White also was a stellar defender posting a career .971 fielding percentage with 325 putouts and 113 assists with just 13 errors.
