Kyle West is officially a New York Yankee.
In an Instagram post, which West was tagged in, West was seen signing his first pro ball contract with the Yankees’ club.
The details of the contract, plus the signing bonus have not been disclosed.
West was selected by the Yankees in the 13th round (404th overall) in the 2025 MLB Draft.
In his WVU career, West hit 24 home runs, drove in 81 and had a batting average of .298.
West will likely start his pro career with Single-A Tampa Tarpons. There is also a possibility that West starts in the Florida Complex League, but the roster page for that club lists most players with a detailed rehab assignment.
*Update* – Kyle West signed with the Yankees for $150,000.
