West Virginia has received a commitment from 2026 Chesterfield (Va.) running back SirPaul Cheeks.
He announced his commitment on Instagram.
Cheeks, 5-foot-9, 185-pounds, chose the Mountaineers over Virginia Tech, Pitt, Minnesota, and Kentucky. He was originally scheduled to announce his decision on July 1st but delayed the decision a couple of weeks.
The Varina High standout rushed for 591 yards and 10 touchdowns last season as a junior. He averaged an eye-popping 10.9 yards per carry.
Cheeks is rated a 3-star prospect by 247Sports with an overall player rating of 87. He is ranked the 41st best running back in the country and the 18th best overall prospect in the state of Virginia.
Cheeks joins Jett Walker (Georgetown, Tx.) and Christopher Talley (Memphis, TN.) as running back commitments for the class of 2026.
