The Washington Nationals on Monday drafted West Virginia transfer pitcher Owen Puk in the 18th round (pick 531) in the 2025 MLB Draft.
Puk, who is signed with the Mountaineers, has the option to either go pro with the Nationals, or fully commit to his signing with WVU.
According to Spotrac that signing bonus slot is $150,000.
That doesn’t mean that Puk would get all that money. He could be offered half of it, or 90% of it.
Puk, in my mind, will stay faithful to his commitment and signing to WVU for his last year of eligibility.
