WVU Baseball Player Named Big 12 Player of the Week

West Virginia catcher, Logan Sauve, was named Big 12 player of the Week by the league office.

Per the conference press release:

Sauve hit .556 with a pair of home runs and four RBI in a pair of wins over Houston. The Mountaineers’ catcher opened the series with three hits and a walk before hitting two home runs in the series finale in the first multi-homer Conference game of his career. Sauve’s offensive output helped propel West Virginia to a pair of wins by seven runs.

Oklahoma State pitcher, Harrison Bodendorf, was named Conference Newcomer and Pitcher of the Week.

Per the Big 12 Conference:

Bodendorf swept the pitcher and newcomer awards with a 10-inning gem in the Cowboys’ series-opening win at then-No. 24 Arizona. The lefthander allowed one earned run, allowed three hits and struck out 10 hitters in the victory while retiring 15 consecutive batters.
